In ‘69, Royal Pizza first took root in Edmonton’s Old Strathcona area. Since then, we’ve grown into a local legend. Our full pizza and pasta menu, prepared with generous portions of first-quality ingredients, has unquestionably withstood the taste of time. The secret’s in our incredible, rich, tangy sauce ... that and our unique Royal cheese-blend. They’re the reason, along with our ‘Still Makin’ it Great’ policy, that people keep coming back for more, for going on three generations now.

In ‘95, when Mike and Cynthia bought the original Royal Pizza, it came with training-wheels. The originators left them with a simple, follow-the-tradition formula. A tradition that was so important to them, that Mike actually had to prove that he was capable of carrying it on before they’d sell him the restaurant. Thankfully, Mike passed the test. He bought the restaurant, and has religiously followed the tradition ever since, to the logical extension of spawning a number of successful franchise operations.

The tradition works ... It’s been proven.

We’ve participated in community and corporate events and sponsored the University of Alberta Athletics Department. We’ve advertised in The Oiler Report and ran ads on radio and TV.
